Surah Yusuf (also called Surah Al-Fatiha, or the Opening of the Book) is a chapter of the Qur'an. It has 111 verses and is revealed in Makkah. It is the longest chapter in the Qur'an, and the second chapter in the Qur'an, after the Surah Al-Baqarah. This chapter is called "Yusuf" in Arabic, and "Yusuf" in English. The word "Yusuf" means "Joseph" in English.
It is narrated from Imam Ja’far as-Sadiq that the Prophet (S) said, "The person who recites Surah Al-Yusuf will be treated with respect, and will be amongst the righteous in the Day of Resurrection."
It has also been narrated from Imam Ja’far as-Sadiq that the Prophet (S) said, "If you have recited it [Al-Yusuf] and have your family members to recite it, then Allah will make the last moments before His death easy for him.
